If we're not careful, this thread is going to become along the lines of that thread that dwells on the last GNet.
Those were the days, my friend...
Well, for what it's worth - I, too, would
opt to return to the old board, if only
because it was a lot less flimsy than this
one. Even using the fastest connections,
it all seems a bit shaky, if you know what
I mean.
D.
This thread isn't about the old board.
That board just plain doesn't exist anymore.
Talk about your bands.
I'll start over:
Name is Carl Isonhart, never used a stage name aside from my stint as Roxx Ixonhart ( ). Bands have been Misty Beethoven, Fear And Loathing, and solo stuff I am now working on in my free time (meaining not a whole lot is going on). I was the vocalist and guitarist in all the bands, though in F&L I split the duties with vocal duties with the other guitarist. I am back to talking about working with the drummer from F&L again, soon. Not the greatest drummer (that guy is on my solo 4-track stuff), but he is into the style, and he is one of my best friends.
I have all the stuff on CD, and if asked nicely, I will send you the stuff for no charge other than maybe a trade. Though keep in mind I owe stuff to Lycan, Dan, and Sinmin (I told you I would send you my stuff eons ago, but now you moved, get me your new addy), and they get my attention first.
Next?
<font size="3" face="Arial">Carl, admit people miss the excitement of the old board. Remember, there were good times before the shit hit the fan.Quote:

I think all nostalgia for the old board, as well as its offshoots such as the picture board, ought be confined to the thread dealing with the old board.
Let me start over too...since I have new things to add.
Hi I'm Marcus or Marc...No stage name either though I'm known as RAGGZ.
Bands I've played in:
HOPE & GLORY
CANDY GUNN
Now, working on an industrial project called DCB..it's going slow, but things are going great so far.
I Was also asked to move to L.A. twice.
Billy Layne(Penny Lane/Pretty Boy FLoyd) wanted me to be the vocalist in his band.
J. F. K.(Demolition Dolls, Sick Six Crush) wanted me to join his band as additional guitarist.
...with both of these I had to say no, due to me not interested in the whole band thing anymore.
I still write and shop some of my tunes around...but right now it's more important for me to move to Florida to be next to the love of my life and just become a great husband and family man...so being in bands are no longer in my interest at this time.
Marcus, I envy you. I would love nothing more than what you are discussing now, fathering children, and watching them grow, helping them along. When you get right down to it, there is no greater legacy one can leave than children. All the music in the world, all the books ever published, all the plays, films, and everything else cannot equal the beauty of knowing you have actually contributeed to posterity by passing various parts of yourself along through your children. I really envy you. I envy Carl, Andii, Donna, and the rest of you with children.
If this sounds like reflection to you, then you are correct.
Billy Blade here, only one of the names is real. play bass for Revl'on Red, have done so for 5 years now. played in a few local(Ontario, Calif.) metal bands prior to joining RR. Played bass in Rebel Rebel for 2 shows when Marcello was out of town. interesting shows. got kicked out of both clubs mid show. I already did the family thing years ago and Jay was right having my daughter is the coolest thing in the world(she's already a grown up)I'm an Analyst for Hot Topic so I get lot's of cool hook ups.never thought a job could be cool. anyways looking to do something heavier than Revlon. something between Pantera and Accept.but with lots of make-up and pyros. yes some of us still want to do pyros.I like most Image acts from Gwar to Him and even though I'm not a big Culture Club fan, Boy George still rules!! well thats it for me.bblade
oh by the way GlamRockKidd rules!
Hi, my name is Jo and I am one of the victims of the new board, as I can't access this one from my corporate firewall filtered pc in the office.
I play bass in a band called The Pocket Rockets (http://www.thepocketrockets) and we had a cd out some time ago that Spice happily slaughtered on here a few months later.
We are going to have a new one out in a few weeks time and I just can't wait to be slaughtered again.
I know almost all the people from the old board and I miss'em all dearly. The most adventurous of you can find me on MySpace, one of the few community website I can still access every day at work.
Ciao. Miss you all, some more than the others, but you know who you are...
